We’re excited to officially welcome visitors back to Berry Patch Farm for the start of our 2026 season!
Beginning June 1, guests can visit the farm to enjoy a limited harvest of two of our earliest fruits of the year: Honeyberries (Haskap) and Gooseberries. These unique fruits are among the first to ripen each season and offer a delicious way to kick off Iowa’s berry-growing season.
Honeyberries are often described as a blend of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry flavors. Rich in antioxidants and packed with flavor, they have become a favorite among customers looking for something a little different. Gooseberries, another traditional fruit making a comeback, offer a sweet-tart flavor that is excellent for fresh eating, baking, jams, and desserts.
Because both crops are still in the early stages of harvest, quantities will be limited. Customers interested in purchasing fruit are encouraged to order online for pickup when available.
In addition to fresh fruit, visitors can browse our Country Store, which is stocked with a variety of farm-produced and locally sourced items including jams, jellies, freeze-dried fruits and candies, farm-fresh eggs, rhubarb, asparagus, honey products, and more.
Our team is also looking ahead to the coming weeks as additional crops continue to develop. Strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and other fruits are growing well and will be available later in the season as conditions allow.
Berry Patch Farm is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new visitors as another growing season gets underway.
